What’s the difference between Microblading, Microshading and ombré powder

Microblading
Microblading is a permanent brow service that produces realistic hair strokes to create fuller brows. This method is only suitable for those with dry to normal skin type and those with fluffy and full brow hairs. Every appointment includes a consultation at the beginning of your service.

Micro-Shading

Microshading is a Ombre Powder shading with added hair strokes in the front. This method gives a defined makeup look with the shaded brow with an added fluffy and dense effect. This method is best suited for those with normal to dry skin type and those with fluffy and full brow hairs. Every appointment includes a consultation at the beginning of your service.

OMBRÉ POWDER

Ombre Powder is shading that is darker at the tails and lighter at the front. The final healed results is powdered filled brows similar to the look of makeup. This method suits everyone including all skin types.

Fast facts on microblading:

  • The process involves using a hand-held microblade tool with needles.
  • Microblading involves breaking into the skin, and infections are possible if untrained people practice under unhygienic conditions.
  • The success of the microblading procedure will depend on the person performing it.

Allergic reaction

While allergic reactions to organic pigments used for the procedure are rare, it can happen. It is, therefore, important to ask the esthetician what types of pigment they are using and how they confirm allergies.

Infection

Since microblading breaks the skin, there is a serious risk for transmission of infectious diseases, including HIV and bacterial skin infections.

Unsterile tools and other equipment are among the leading risks for transmitting infection. It is essential that all equipment is sterilized before the procedure has even started to avoid any infectious complications.

Semi-permanent

Microblading cannot be easily covered up if it is done incorrectly. If this occurs, a person will likely endure additional costs to manage complications and correct the procedure. The best way to ensure the procedure is done correctly is by vetting the esthetician and the establishment where a person is considering getting the microblading done.
